I'm driving longer, making it over the water, getting to the green in fewer shots, once in awhile chipping correctly (needs work), putting well (now that the greens are all grown in and recovered from aeration), and scoring lower. Hooray!
We went out and played nine holes Wednesday and Thursday evenings after work, the weather was too gorgeous to pass up!
I shot a 48 on the front nine both days!
My goal is always to break 50, so hooray for me. Now... I want to break 100 when I play 18. Since the back nine is the tougher side, it's harder than it sounds. I did shoot a 104 last time I played 18... I'm getting so close!
That's my chore for this weekend. I have so many clothes that I hang onto that I never wear. Having them in my limited space of a closet is making me disorganized and a bit crazy.
So get ready Consignment Store and Goodwill... donations are coming your way! It's another way of recycling stuff. I watched a "clean your closet" video this morning, and the one thing that stuck with me was... get rid of your uncomfortable shoes. Smart right?! You know you have some, you never wear them, you just look at them because they're pretty, but then you remember they hurt your feet, so they never make it out of your closet. Well... today mine are getting out!
I'm ready, I have a plan... now... time to get started!
Winter clothes have been relocated to the upstairs closet, and piles of clothes and shoes are ready to take to Goodwill in the morning. I feel liberated and ready to take on Summer! ps... the reason I got to do this this weekend was because I was under the weather with a sore throat and now have a cold coming on. Oh well, at least I made use of my time in between naps and cups of tea ;-)
today I turned 55... Wow... yeah, I know... sounds old doesn't it?! I am a very happy 55 year old and so very grateful for my wonderful family and friends and my wonderful life!missing you Alex, Kris and Ryan! Alex wasn't here to bake me a cake, :-( so we had a Brewster's ice cream cake, so yummy!
And from my hubby, a contrast in gifts... Lilly P and...
I'm back home alone after a "moving in" weekend in Savannah. The drive was slooow pulling the trailer, and the 4 hour trip took 6, but we got there safe and sound and re-energized to unpack. For the "before" photos see my blog posts here and here. We had a 6'x12' U-Haul and 2 cars filled to the brim of furniture and stuff to set up GradGirl's new 1 bedroom condo. We had spent the week before shopping for a few new things to add to the mix of used furniture and leftover college apartment items. I must say... (brag, brag)... we did a fine job of coordinating the mix of old and new. See for yourself...

So there it is... a cozy place that she loves and now will call home! Of course... Our home will always be her home.
Always remember that Alex, and come home often... I miss you already! Love, Momma
