our Easter weekend family fun!

cooking and eating and playing with puppy Jaxsightseeing and more eating in Baldwin Park
pontoon boat tour of Winter Park lakestasting wine at the Wine Room
Easter Sunday church service
and a delicious Easter dinner!
We were blessed with beautiful weather and had a wonderful family visit this past weekend, at Kris and Ryan's home in Orlando. Thanks K & R, you were the perfect hosts!
... good food and good times were had by all!

... this was the first holiday we've had at one of our married daughter's homes, and not only the holiday, but 5 extra people for 3 nights! K&R did a fabulous job of making us all comfortable and showing us a good time. We got to meet their new puppy and see all their recent home improvements. I am one very proud mom!
good thing we came home yesterday though, today has been very stormy with high winds and lots of storms in Georgia and Florida. We got home safe and sound!

the place to be this week

Arctic Open? Nope, the Masters!
I know it's been unseasonably cold and very windy... but I'm sure all who are there (my husband and BIL) are enjoying themselves nonetheless! The hype in the golf world is as great as Superbowl or the Final Four! I had 2nd thoughts about not going, listening to the hype already, and it's only Tuesday, but then I know my BIL is in 2nd heaven being there, so it's all good. I'm glad the guys are together and having a great time, experiencing the magic of Augusta National.
Today will be a beautiful day, still a bit windy, but springtime temps.
Wednesday
Sunny. Highs in the mid 60s. West winds 10 to 15 mph.

Have a great time guys!

it's nice to have options

I've gotten to that age... when even though I'm in good shape,
I just feel a bit self conscience prancing around in a bathing suit. I like to have the option of a skirted bottom. This season, Talbots has a great variety of tops and bottoms to mix and match, so I recently ordered 3 different green tops and the matching green skirted bottom (free shipping is great for this!). I tried them all on and chose the most flattering (and will return the other two). Now that I know the style that fits me best, I'm planning on ordering another in a different pattern. I'm thinking the navy batik, I love the print, and navy and white is always so crisp!

decorating for Easter

I took 'em for $8!

Golfing with the guys this weekend, we wagered a bit, their idea of course. Today's bet was yesterday's score vs. today's, $1 a stroke improvement, paid to the winner. Well, yesterday I did not do my best. The rain has kept the Gal Pals from going out the past 2 Wednesdays, so it's been at least 2 weeks since I've played. But today I was on a roll to break my best score... until the last hole, rated the hardest for our course. Ugh! I had 2 bad duff shots in a row to score an 8. But the good news is I still did well and shot a 50, 6 strokes better than yesterday, and (the best part!) better than the guys!

hole #2

I just got paid, and I'm $8 richer...

and... (again the best part!), have bragging rights!
