and the decorating's done! Before I went into the hospital on Monday, we spent the 3 day weekend decorating the house for Christmas. I told my husband I was "nesting" to be ready, so I could spend the necessary time recuperating in my beautiful holiday home.
The procedure went well and as planned and I'm home again in my own bed. I'm a bit tired on the pain pills and will take it easy this week. I'm surrounded by supportive family and friends, beautiful flowers, prayers and well wishes.
Thank you all!

our 7 family stockings
the ones on each end were my husbands and mine when we were kids,
can we say antiques?!

We have a few other things around too... the banister garland and the living room mantle and tree, the nativity and my gingerbread houses, but I'll save those for another time.
Happy decorating!

Well, I was just thinking I'd write on your daughter's blog to see how you were doing. Clearly, Blogger is having issues... for me anyway. I'm SO relieved to hear that it went well & according to plan. Here's to a very speedy recovery my friend!
ReplyDeleteI'll bet you're thrilled that you did all the decorating before the surgery AND it looks absolutely lovely!
You are still in my prayers, for the recovery period...
Hi SJN. How are you doing? Thank you for your comment today. I tell you they say there are no coincidences or perhaps there is something to numerology after all. I am the same age now as when my dad was when I was born. Yes, he was 52! Ancient to have a child. Somehow I knew he would never make it to walk me down the aisle. I can count the numbers of times I cried so hard I couldn't catch my breath and this was the first. It was such a shock that to this day I can only remember certain things. Others I have completely forgotten. We will not repeat our history. I am convinced. I have made it and so will you, my friend. :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are officially ready for Christmas!
