DIY Beadboard Headboard

One half sheet of beadboard stained and trimmed out with molding and voila... a DIY headboard!

I used a nautical rope molding for the beach themed bedroom

I centered the beadboard on the wall and nailed it directly to the wall, finding the studs, with trim nails. I then nailed the trim to the beadboard, caulked the nail heads with wood filler and dabbed a little stain over them to make them disappear.

Soooo inexpensive... and I love the look!

  1. Love this! Now I'm reconsidering my shutter headboard. Might have to do this instead. Thanks for sharing!

  2. You are so clever and it looks absolutely beautiful! It's been killing me to not be able to do any fix-ups like that around the house but I don't really want to do anything until we move. I mean if & when we move, lol. But girl, you are making some definite progress...

  7. I wish I could incorporate a little beadboard into every room in my house! I love what a great casual, cottage feel it gives to whatever room or area it's in. Great job!
