nautical inspiration

So many of you out there have inspired me creatively lately so I wanted to share an easy project with you! I found this plate while out shopping and decided to redecorate my lake house bathroom in a nautical theme.

I needed to make curtains for the window and found this great block print fabric with sailboats and lighthouses.

The block pattern gave me the idea to buy a little extra fabric and a plain muslin shower curtain, cut the blocks of the print out and use iron on fusible webbing to bond the fabric to the curtain. Voila... a custom look for little money and so easy!

So then I found a few more cute items to go with my colors and theme and added them above the linen closet for fun!

Doesn't it feel good to update a room?!

  4. I actually wish I had the "before" pics to post. We took out the old sink and vanity, replaced it with the beaded board cabinets and added beaded board to the other walls, and put on a new sink/countertop. It's a very small room, but it is cute now!
